Before Matt was helping community associations across Florida solve complex infrastructure problems, he was navigating far more unruly terrain: a busy house full of six siblings. As the oldest, Matt landed early in the unofficial role of mediator, a role that would define his style of leadership in decades to come.
Today, that same skill of guiding difficult conversations and helping people build consensus is what makes Matt a trusted voice in communities, courtrooms, boardrooms, and legislative discussions. As Regional Executive Director for the Southeast at Reserve Advisors, Matt brings a unique mix of engineering knowledge, project experience, and human understanding to help communities make better decisions together.
Matt’s work is centered on one goal: empowering boards and property managers with actionable, accurate, and transparent reserve studies. His journey with Reserve Advisors began shortly after college, when he was hired as a civil engineer and immediately immersed in hands-on fieldwork, traveling across the country to inspect high-rise condos, townhome communities, and large-scale residential developments.
Matt conducted on-site assessments of building systems, documented physical conditions, and worked closely with property managers to develop reserve studies that would shape long-term planning for hundreds of associations. These early years gave him a front-row view of the technical, financial, and human challenges that come with maintaining shared property and laid the foundation for the leadership role he holds today.
In 2006, Matt helped open the firm’s Tampa office, giving Reserve Advisors a permanent presence in one of the most dynamic real estate markets in the country. Since then, he’s played a key leadership role in growing the company’s business and client base across Florida.
Over time, Matt’s role has evolved from hands-on engineer to strategic leader, supporting and mentoring the firm’s reserve study professionals and advising boards and industry partners across Florida. He also provides expert testimony on key issues impacting community infrastructure and HOA governance, including legislative reform efforts following the Champlain Towers South tragedy.

“People often think of infrastructure planning as technical work—but really, it’s people work. You’re building trust, resolving conflict, and helping communities feel confident about their future. That’s what it’s about.”

Matt doesn’t just support board members, he is one. He currently serves as treasurer of his own condominium association, which gives him a ground-level perspective to the pressures and politics of managing shared property.
He understands what it’s like to be the volunteer receiving frustrated emails, balancing budgets, and trying to make the right choice with incomplete information. That experience helps him approach Reserve Advisors’ clients not just as a consultant, but as a peer.
Outside of work, Matt finds joy in the outdoors, coaching youth sports, building community in his neighborhood, and spending time with his two children. He credits his Midwest roots, and his large family, for shaping his leadership instinct, empathy, and ability to manage through conflict gracefully.
